We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Salon Assistant Manager to join our dynamic team! Duties
- Oversee daily salon operations, including scheduling, inventory management, and ensuring compliance with health and safety standards
- Assist in recruiting, interviewing, onboarding, and training new team members to uphold high service standards
- Manage payroll, bookkeeping, and cash handling processes accurately and efficiently
- Supervise staff performance through coaching, motivation, and conducting regular performance reviews
- Support sales initiatives by promoting retail products, managing merchandising displays, and driving retail sales growth
- Handle customer inquiries with professionalism via phone etiquette and in-person interactions
- Maintain inventory control through purchasing, stock replenishment, and POS (Point of Sale) system management
- Coordinate shift management to ensure smooth store operations during peak hours and special events
- Implement marketing strategies to attract new clients and retain existing ones while fostering a welcoming atmosphere
- Uphold organizational standards by managing pricing strategies, retail math calculations, and store presentation
Qualifications
- Proven experience as an assistant manager or supervisor within a retail or service environment, preferably in a salon or beauty setting
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a diverse team
- Excellent communication skills; bilingual or multilingual abilities are highly desirable for serving a diverse clientele
- Proficiency in POS systems, inventory management software, bookkeeping, payroll processing, and cash handling procedures
- Demonstrated ability in sales management, merchandising, marketing, and retail math calculations
- Exceptional organizational skills with keen attention to detail in stock control and administrative tasks
- Experience in interviewing, employee orientation, training & development programs
- Ability to manage budgets effectively while maintaining high customer service standards
- Strong time management skills with the capacity to oversee shift operations efficiently
- Knowledge of wireless sales or grocery store operations is a plus but not required
