Harrison County Hospital has an opening for a Patient Account Representative for our Business Office.
This position is full-time, days, Monday-Friday 8:45am-5:15pm, 40 hours per week.
Education:

High school diploma required.

Duties and Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
-
Processing new bills on a daily basis
-
Following up on previously billed accounts by correctly resolving reminder
-
Works Collector ques and biller ques on a daily basis
-
Displays knowledge of Meditech system, SSI and Chartmax
-
Answers patient questions regarding accounts
-
Receives and answers correspondence concerning refunds and processing

Thoroughly document accounts in system when account is referenced for any reason

Ability to communicate with understanding and politeness with patients

Follows HIPAA rules and adheres to hospital corporate compliance regulations
