Join Little Ivy Preschool's vibrant early childhood education team as a Preschool Teacher. In this role, you will create a safe, engaging, and stimulating classroom environment that promotes early childhood development and literacy education. Duties
- Foster a positive classroom atmosphere through effective classroom management and behavior management techniques that support social-emotional growth.
- Engage children in age-appropriate activities that promote literacy, math skills, physical education, and overall childhood development.
- Collaborate with colleagues to design lesson plans that meet educational standards and address individual student needs, including special education considerations.
- Maintain open communication with parents and guardians regarding child welfare, progress, and classroom activities.
- Ensure compliance with childcare regulations and safety protocols while creating an inclusive environment that celebrates diversity.
Qualifications
- 12 ECE units preferred; 6 completed with current ECE enrollment is minimum requirement
- Proven classroom experience working with children in preschool or daycare settings, with a strong understanding of childhood development principles.
- Demonstrated expertise in curriculum development, lesson planning, and classroom management techniques.
- Experience working with students requiring special education or early intervention services is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of Montessori methods, literacy education, math instruction, and teaching physical education enhances your candidacy.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with parents, colleagues, and children.
- Prior preschool experience in private schools or daycare environments is preferred; certification in early childhood education is a plus.
