Carver Pump, a leading manufacturer of centrifugal pumps in Naval and Industrial markets has two Finished Parts Apprentice positions available. Candidates will learn the paint, hydro test, crate, shipping, and receiving processes. We are looking for qualified candidates to fill these positions in a dynamic high mix/low volume, lean manufacturing environment.
The successful candidate must be comfortable working with hand saws, drills, measuring tools, and a computer. Previous experience industrial painting is helpful but not required. The ideal candidate will have excellent math skills, a strong work ethic, and effective communication skills. High school diploma or equivalent is required.
Starting pay for the position is $20.43/hr with a max base pay of $28.77/hr plus .67/hr incentive pay, monthly bonus and profit sharing. Candidates must be available to work 2nd or 3rd shift following training on 1st shift. Shift premium is $1.50/hr plus earns 4 hours extra time off per month.
