American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Medical Surgical - Orthopedic Unit position requiring a minimum of 2 years of experience and night shift availability.

Position is based in a Medical Surgical - Orthopedic Unit within a hospital setting
-
Schedule consists of 3 x 12-hour night shifts per week (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM), totaling 36 hours per week
-
Every other weekend required
-
Rotating holiday coverage required

13-week contract

Active RN license in North Carolina or a compact state required

Current BLS certification required
-
Minimum of 2 years of RN experience required

Acute care / inpatient hospital experience preferred

Responsibilities include coordinating and delivering patient care using the nursing process under the direction of a physician and Nurse Manager/Director

Collaborates with interdisciplinary care teams to identify and pursue expected patient outcomes

Assesses and anticipates discharge planning needs for patients and families, including those with complex care issues

Promotes a safe, clean, and secure environment through application of standard precautions and infection control principles
-
ACLS certification may be required for some units prior to providing clinical care — training and certification opportunities will be provided

Annual competency assessments required per documented competency checklist
