Duties
- Prepare and assemble sandwiches according to established recipes and customer specifications, ensuring freshness and quality at all times
- Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS to process retail sales transactions accurately and efficiently
- Manage food handling responsibilities with strict adherence to food safety standards and sanitation protocols
- Engage with customers in a friendly manner, taking orders, upselling menu items, and providing excellent service to enhance their experience
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace by regularly sanitizing work surfaces, utensils, and kitchen equipment including operating kitchen appliances safely
- Process cash transactions accurately, handle cash register operations, and balance cash drawers at the end of shifts
- Assist in inventory management by restocking ingredients, supplies, and ensuring proper storage of food items
Experience
- Previous experience in quick service or fast food restaurant environments is highly preferred
- Proven skills in food preparation, food safety management, and sanitation practices within the food industry or retail setting
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for processing transactions efficiently
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple orders swiftly during busy periods
- Customer service experience that demonstrates the ability to engage positively with diverse clientele
- Basic math skills necessary for cash handling, order calculations, and inventory tracking
- Experience working with kitchen equipment like slicers, ovens, or sandwich presses is advantageous
- Retail sales or grocery store experience can be beneficial for understanding product presentation and upselling techniques
Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour
