Job Summary
Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Contract Registered Nurse (RN) working 12 hour day shifts in Mechanisburg. Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and medical history reviews.
- Administer medications and injections accurately, following proper aseptic techniques and medication protocols.
- Document all patient interactions and procedures using electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Epic..
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans aligned with best practices and regulatory standards like NCQA standards.
- Assist with diagnostic evaluations, specimen collection/processing, and laboratory testing procedures.
- Provide patient education on health coaching, medication management, pain control, and discharge planning to promote recovery and well-being.
Qualifications
- Valid RN license with current state registration.
- Proven critical care experience, 2 years or more similar setting or med surg.
- Experience working with diverse populations such as geriatrics, behavioral health patients, or individuals with developmental disabilities.
- Proficiency in EMR/EHR systems like Epic or Cerner; prior experience in hospital medicine or outpatient clinics is preferred.
- Skilled in performing complex procedures including, tube feeding management, ostomy care, wound care, sterile processing techniques, and infection control protocols.
- Ability to work effectively in high-pressure situations such as acute pain management or triage scenarios within emergency medicine or urgent care environments.
