The Center for Urban Teaching (CfUT) is a Christian nonprofit organization that exists to identify, prepare, and support high-performing urban teachers, leaders, and schools. We save school partners hundreds of hours by identifying top teaching talent as early as freshman year of college, and top leadership talent as early as their second year of teaching. We build a vision for what’s possible in the classroom through CfUT’s guided immersion tours. These tours provide teacher and leader candidates with multiple opportunities to explore and network with great urban teachers and leaders in action.
The Manager of Talent Recruitment & Development exists to ensure that CfUT recruits, develops, and retains high-performing urban teaching talent by leading a team that engages top candidates aligned with CfUT’s mission, develops systems and processes that strengthen recruitment and retention efforts, and cultivates competence, confidence, and character in program participants. This role serves as the “first impression” of CfUT to both potential candidates and university partners, while also executing strategy and driving performance through effective leadership, management, and accountability.

The ideal candidate for this role will demonstrate a strong personal commitment to CfUT’s Christ-centered mission and educational vision. They are an experienced leader in recruitment, sales, admissions, or a related field, and have a proven track record of successfully managing teams. This individual is both strategic and systems-oriented, with the ability to build and optimize processes that scale recruitment efforts and improve outcomes. This person is an emotionally intelligent communicator who builds trusting relationships, gains buy-in from others and navigates challenges with a joyful and resilient mindset.
In this role, you’ll be responsible for the following key areas of impact and execution.

- Ability to work a caseload of candidates while managing and supporting the team
