This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your food industry expertise while working in a fast-paced, fun setting.
Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of gelato flavors and toppings with precision and creativity
- Assemble fresh sandwiches according to customer preferences, maintaining quality standards
- Operate POS systems for order processing and transactions
- Manage food handling, sanitation, and safety protocols to ensure compliance with health regulations
- Maintain cleanliness of work stations, including bussing tables and sanitizing equipment
- Assist with inventory management, restocking supplies, and ensuring proper food storage practices
Experience
- Previous experience in food preparation or quick service restaurant environments is highly preferred
- Familiarity with POS systems like TOAST.
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple orders efficiently during busy hours
- Customer service experience that demonstrates friendly communication and problem-solving abilities
- Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation procedures, and proper food handling techniques
- Background in culinary arts or café operations is advantageous but not required
- Retail math skills including basic math, cash handling, and grocery store experience are beneficial
Both shops are very busy -- the Gelato shop is seasonal and will close in the winter. You can work at BOTH. Pay is minimum wage PLUS tips!
