Job Title: Pre-Services Scheduling Representative
Location: Pomona, CA (Onsite)
Assignment Type: Local / Temporary (3 Months)
Department: Pre Services
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
Shifts: 5 days per week
Weekends/Holidays: Some holiday coverage required
Dress Code: Business Casual
Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Pre-Services Scheduling Representative to support a busy healthcare department. This role is responsible for patient scheduling, registration support, and ensuring accurate pre-service processes prior to patient visits or procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Schedule patient appointments and procedures accurately and efficiently
- Verify and update patient demographic and insurance information
- Perform registration-related tasks and ensure data accuracy
- Communicate with patients, providers, and internal departments
- Utilize systems such as phone, fax, scanner, and EMR platforms
- Maintain compliance with healthcare regulations and department workflows
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 3 years of hospital experience
- At least 2 years in a hospital or medical office setting, including registration knowledge
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Experience with:
- Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Standard office equipment (PC, phone, fax, scanner, copier)
- Familiarity with CPT and HCPCS codes
Preferred Qualifications
- Some college coursework in Business Communication or Data Entry
- At least 1 year of insurance verification experience in a healthcare setting
