Prohibition in Riverside, a staple of the local dining scene for 14 years, is seeking an energetic, hands-on Kitchen Manager to lead our kitchen team. What we’re looking for
- Experience as a Kitchen Manager or Executive Sous Chef in a quality American kitchen
- Great attitude, strong leadership, and the ability to inspire a team
- Local or nearby residency in the Riverside area preferred
- Strong track record of food safety, quality, and consistency
- Ability to manage food costs, inventory, ordering, and vendor relationships
- Excellent communication and a hands-on leadership style
- Thrive in a fast-paced environment and mentor a diverse team
- Spanish bilingual is a huge plus
Key responsibilities
- Lead daily kitchen operations: prep, line, cooking, plating, quality control
- Manage schedules, staffing, training, and performance feedback
- Oversee food safety, sanitation, and HACCP compliance
- Develop and execute menus in collaboration with Executive Chef/ownership
- Monitor costs, waste, and inventory; optimize ordering and vendor partnerships
- Collaborate with front-of-house leadership to ensure guest satisfaction
- Maintain consistency in portioning, presentation, and flavors
- Hire, train, and develop kitchen staff; foster a positive, inclusive culture
