Summary:
The Sonographer, under the direction of a radiologist and imaging leadership, with minimum supervision, must maintain the daily function of the Ultrasound department, performing a variety of Ultrasound procedures.
Experience:
Minimum of one year preferred as a Sonographer.
Education:
Graduation from an accredited Radiologic Technology program, AAS degree preferred, and Graduation from an unaccredited Sonographer program or Graduation from an accredited Sonographer program.
Licenses:
Certificate required: ARRT(R)(S) or ARDMS required within 12 months of hire
For ACR Accredited sites at time of hire: ARRT(R)(S) or ARDMS
Essential Functions:
Performs US procedures using proper Radiologist protocols and standard workflows based on annual competencies.
Practices safe patient care
Performs proper equipment upkeep, including daily QA procedures
Additional duties as assigned and warranted
On Call shifts where applicable
Oversee and instruct students in the clinical setting where applicable
