Overview
We are seeking a passionate and energetic Dietary Aide to join our dynamic food service team. In this role, you will play a key part in meal preparation, food handling, and maintaining high safety standards within our dietary department. Your enthusiasm and attention to detail will help deliver nutritious meals while ensuring a clean and efficient kitchen environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist with meal preparation and food service activities in accordance with menu plans and recipes
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently to support food production processes
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen areas, utensils, and food preparation surfaces to meet sanitation standards
- Follow proper food handling procedures to ensure safety and quality of all meals served
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to coordinate meal timing and special dietary needs
- Support food safety management practices by adhering to safety standards during all stages of food production
- Contribute to catering events by preparing, portioning, and presenting food items professionally
Requirements
- Previous experience in dietary services, food preparation, or restaurant environments is highly desirable
- Knowledge of menu planning, cooking techniques, knife skills, slicing methods, and recipe adherence
- Familiarity with operating kitchen equipment such as ovens, mixers, and slicers
- Understanding of food safety standards in production environments and proper food handling procedures
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with kitchen team members
- Experience with cleaning protocols and maintaining a sanitary kitchen environment
