Job Title: Aging Specialist – Collections
Job Description:
Patients First Home Care is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Collections - Aging Specialist to join our Home Health Care team. This role is responsible for monitoring and managing aged accounts receivable, ensuring timely follow-up on outstanding claims and patient balances, and collaborating across departments to resolve billing discrepancies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and manage aging accounts receivable for Home Health Care services.
- Conduct timely follow-up on unpaid claims and patient balances.
- Collaborate with billing, intake, and clinical teams to identify and resolve discrepancies.
- Ensure adherence to Medicare and private insurance billing guidelines.
- Utilize EMR systems and payer portals (e.g., Innovalon, Availity, Kinnser) for insurance claim management.
- Generate and present regular reports on aging trends and collection performance.
- Assist with appeals and denial management as needed.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in medical billing and collections, preferably in Home Health or Hospice settings.
- Strong understanding of payer guidelines, billing regulations, and aging reports.
- Proficiency in using EMR systems and billing software.
- Experience with insurance portals such as Innovalon, Availity, and Kinnser.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail and follow-through.

- Current Driver's License with current auto insurance
- CEU on Elderly Abuse, Human Trafficking and Alzheimer's/Dementia
