Position: Physical Therapist (PT) – Pediatrics

Specialized Care Pediatrics PPEC is a pediatric medical center providing skilled nursing, therapies, education, and socialization for medically complex children from birth through age 21. Our multidisciplinary team is dedicated to helping children achieve their highest level of independence and mobility in a supportive, family-centered environment.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate and treat pediatric patients with developmental, neurological, orthopedic, and medically complex conditions.
- Develop individualized treatment plans and measurable therapy goals.
- Provide direct physical therapy services to improve strength, balance, coordination, mobility, and functional independence.
- Assess and recommend adaptive equipment and mobility devices as needed.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, therapists, educators, and families.
- Maintain accurate documentation, progress notes, and treatment records.
- Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and family education.
Qualifications
- Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) or equivalent degree from an accredited program.
- Current Florida Physical Therapist License.
- Pediatric experience required.
- Experience working with medically complex children preferred.
- Strong communication, organizational, and teamwork skills.
- Current CPR certification.
