Responsibilities
- Assist with the preparation and setup of construction sites, including layout and material staging
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment safely to perform tasks such as concrete mixing, cutting, pouring, and finishing
- Support carpentry activities including framing, trim carpentry, formwork construction, and metal stud framing
- Install rebar and perform concrete forming and placement according to blueprints and schematics
- Read and interpret construction plans, technical drawings, and blueprint specifications to ensure accurate execution of tasks
- Conduct site safety inspections in compliance with construction workplace safety regulations; adhere strictly to safety protocols at all times
- Perform heavy lifting, demolition, restoration work, roofing, masonry, stucco application, caulking, tile laying, flooring installation, plastering, and other related duties as needed to support ongoing projects
Qualifications
- Prior experience working on construction sites or in related trades such as carpentry or masonry is highly preferred
- Mechanical knowledge and familiarity with construction estimating processes are advantageous
- Ability to read blueprints and interpret technical drawings accurately
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, concrete mixers, concrete pumps, saws for cutting concrete or masonry materials
- Knowledge of construction safety regulations and best practices for working at heights or with heavy equipment
- Physical strength and stamina for heavy lifting and prolonged periods of standing or working outdoors in various weather conditions
- Valid driver’s license for commercial driving or operating heavy equipment is a plus but not mandatory
