Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, personalized service throughout their dining experience
- Take and accurately relay customer orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS, ensuring timely delivery of food and beverages
- Upsell menu items, including specialty sushi rolls and drinks, to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in compliance with food safety regulations, including proper food handling and sanitation practices
- Assist with food preparation, bussing tables, and supporting kitchen staff during busy periods to ensure smooth operations
- Manage cash handling duties accurately, including cashiering with POS systems like OpenTable for reservations and guest seating management
- Foster positive guest relations by addressing inquiries, resolving concerns promptly, and creating a welcoming environment for all diners
Experience
- Previous restaurant or food service experience is highly preferred, especially in fine dining or sushi establishments
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, and OpenTable enhances efficiency in order processing and reservations management
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on hospitality and guest relations are essential for creating memorable experiences
- Experience in food handling, sanitation, and basic math ensures accuracy in cashiering and food preparation tasks
- Knowledge of upselling techniques and sales strategies to maximize revenue while maintaining guest satisfaction
- Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment while multitasking between serving, bussing, and supporting kitchen operations
- Previous host/hostess or nightclub serving experience is a plus for adapting quickly to lively atmospheres
