Responsibilities
- Prepare and assemble menu items efficiently while maintaining high standards of food quality and presentation
- Operate kitchen equipment such as grills, poaching stations, braising pans, and food production tools with precision and safety
- Follow food safety sanitizing procedures diligently to ensure a clean and safe kitchen environment
- Assist in menu planning by preparing ingredients and supporting the development of new dishes
- Handle food with care, practicing proper food handling techniques to uphold hygiene standards
- Support high-volume production during peak hours by managing multiple tasks simultaneously
- Maintain cleanliness of workstations and ensure all food safety management protocols are followed consistently
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service, restaurant operations, or the food industry is highly preferred
- Knowledge of dietary department practices and dietary aide experience is a plus
- Strong knife skills and familiarity with various cooking techniques such as grilling, braising, poaching, and meal preparation
- Experience in food safety management and sanitizing procedures to uphold health standards
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment with high-volume production demands
- Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude and strong communication abilities
- Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
