Job Summary
We are seeking dedicated and experienced Retired Police Officers to join our department. In this vital role, you will leverage your extensive law enforcement background to enhance public safety, mentor young officers, and provide expert guidance in conflict management and emergency response.
Your extensive experience in police work will be instrumental in maintaining a quality of life for the citizens and visitors to Clayton, Georgia. The job is providing law enforcement services for the community, something you have done all your professional life.
Experience
- Proven law enforcement experience as a police officer certified or listed as retired on by Georgia Peace Officer Standards and Training.
- Ability to reactive your certification with minimal training and firearms qualification.
- Excellent previous work history.
- A desire to live in a mountain community, engage in small town policing, enjoy a quality of life, respond to a significantly reduced call volume, have access to hiking, fishing, and camping, and have the unique opportunity to help rebuild a quality, professional police department.
- Certified in first aid and CPR; additional certifications such as CCTV operation or loss prevention are advantageous
- Experience in conflict management, crisis intervention, and emergency response procedures
- Military experience or security-related training is highly valued
- Familiarity with law enforcement tools such as CCTV systems, access control devices, and surveillance equipment
- Strong communication skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure and handle sensitive situations professionally
