Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic mammography procedures with attention to detail, ensuring optimal image quality for accurate diagnosis
- Operate specialized medical imaging equipment including digital mammography units
- Implement radiation safety protocols diligently to protect patients and staff during all imaging procedures
- Assist in the preparation and positioning of patients for mammograms
- Maintain thorough documentation of procedures, patient records, and equipment maintenance logs
- Stay current with advances in medical imaging technology
Requirements
Certification or licensure as a Mammography Technologist (e.g., ARRT certification) with active state registration where applicable
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and diagnostic radiology principles
- Ability to perform aseptic techniques and adhere to strict radiation safety standards during all procedures
Excellent communication skills to explain procedures clearly and provide compassionate patient care
