Registered Behavior Technician (RBT)

At ABA Comprehensive Services, we utilize Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) to foster meaningful improvements for individuals with autism and their families. We are one of very few ABA agencies who can proudly say our home-base is El Paso, Texas!
We are a local agency that will allow us to offer families a more specialized model of care. We are seeking staff that want to make a difference in the lives of the families we serve and are excited to be part of the growth of our company.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide a fun and engaging learning environment for children
- Demonstrate compassion to the children and families you serve
- Demonstrate a willingness to learn and develop within your role
- Implement skill acquisition and behavior reduction plans under the direct supervision of Board Certified Behavior Analyst(s) (BCBA)
- Provide one to one ABA therapy as defined by each child’s individualized treatment plan
- Ensure all children’s safety and well-being
- Follow all legal, ethical, and clinical requirements to maintain the RBT credential (i.e., mandated reporter training, protection of client confidentiality, complete all RBT tasks for recertification)
- Maintain professional, positive, and collaborative working relationship with families, co-workers and supervisors
- Collect live data and uphold throughout documentation standards for timely completion of session notes
- Attend and actively participate in team meetings and professional development opportunities
- Implement hygiene and toileting programs for clients, as needed
- Keep up with the physical and emotional demands of the job, including but not limited to running, lifting up to 50 pounds, frequent movement and floor-play, responding to long episodes of challenging behavior
Qualifications
- Must have an active Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification to apply
- Must be passionate about making a difference in people’s lives, display resilience and utmost professionalism, especially when faced with challenging situations
- Pass a criminal background check
- Must have an active NPI
- Maintain active CPR/BSL certification for healthcare providers
- Willing to travel between client’s homes in El Paso and surrounding areas (including having a valid driver’s license and insurance)
- Provide 2 professional references
- Must be available for 20 or more hours between the hours of 8AM to 6:30 PM (most desired time is between 3 to 6:30 PM)
- Ability to pursue a bolting student
- Ability to communicate and work in a team style environment
- Applicants must be physically, mentally, and emotionally prepared for a challenging career experience.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Educational experience in psychology, education, social work, or ABA
- Bilingual (fluent in English and Spanish)
- Knowledge and experience with assistive technology
- Pursuing BCBA or BCaBA certification
- Prior ABA experience
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
- Compensation varies from $19 to $24 hourly ($10 for non-billable hours, such as team meetings)
- Paid Time Off (accrual begins after 60 days of beginning to provide services)
- Available supervision for those seeking further studies in Applied Behavior Analysis (i.e., BCBA, BCaBA supervised fieldwork)
- Performance-based bonus program is presently in development
