About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Industrial Electrician to maintain and improve our manufacturing equipment. In this role, you will be instrumental in ensuring the reliability of our electrical systems and automation equipment. Your expertise in troubleshooting, maintenance, and electrical systems will directly impact our operational efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Conduct planned electrical maintenance on thermoforming and extrusion equipment to uphold system integrity.
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair machinery, including trim presses, extruders, and conveyors, ensuring minimal downtime.
- Modify equipment to enhance performance and implement upgrades, contributing to continuous improvement.
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities and complete necessary paperwork promptly.
- Uphold a safe, clean, and organized work environment in all areas of responsibility.
- Ensure adherence to all company rules, policies, and safety regulations.
- Manage and execute daily tasks using Maintenance Connection software.
- Support production operations by being adaptable to work in various production areas.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 3+ years of experience as an automation technician in a manufacturing setting.
- Proficiency in electrical systems, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
- Demonstrated troubleshooting capabilities in electrical systems.
- Must possess and utilize personal tools safely and effectively.
- Knowledge of PLCs is highly desirable.
- Experience with blueprint reading (mechanical/electrical).
- Welding and fabrication experience.
- Mechanical troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
- Flexibility to work overtime as needed.
