Administrative Intern – Property Development Office (Near UC Davis)

About Us
Taormino & Associates is a small property development firm based in Davis, CA, working on real estate and land development projects throughout Davis. We're looking for a motivated student to join our office as an Administrative Intern, gaining hands-on experience in office operations, real estate documentation, and project coordination.
Position Summary
This internship is ideal for a student who is organized, professional, and eager to learn how a small development office runs day to day. You'll support our team with administrative tasks, document handling, and light research, while getting exposure to the legal, financial, and regulatory side of real estate development.
Schedule
Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM (approximately 12 hours/week). We're flexible around your class schedule and can adjust as needed during exams or breaks.
Start Date
August 19th (flexible)
Compensation
$20–$25/hour, depending on experience
Responsibilities
- Answer and direct phone calls
- Monitor and respond to emails
- Prepare, scan, copy, organize, and file legal, financial, and project documents
- Organize and maintain a physical filing system
- Prepare and assemble documents for meetings and mailings
- Perform data entry and update spreadsheets
- Schedule appointments and coordinate meetings
- Assist with general office organization and supplies
- Run occasional local errands as needed
- Support with miscellaneous administrative tasks and special projects
- Research housing laws and regulations, relevant city measures, current local news, and other topics as assigned
- Carefully track task deadlines and follow up on outstanding items
- Perform other general office duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Comfortable communicating professionally with staff and outside partners
- Proficient with Microsoft Office / Google Workspace (Word, Excel, email, calendar tools)
- Able to handle confidential information with discretion
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently
- Own transportation preferred (for occasional local errands)
