Property Manager – Collections & Legal CoordinationJob Overview
Overland Properties is seeking an experienced and highly organized Property Manager – Collections & Legal Coordination to join our growing team. This role is responsible for rent collections, delinquency management, tenant communication, legal coordination, and court appearances related to eviction proceedings.
The ideal candidate is professional, detail-oriented, confident handling difficult conversations, and experienced in property management operations and tenant collections.
Responsibilities
- Manage rent collections and follow up on delinquent tenant balances
- Communicate with tenants regarding late payments and payment arrangements
- Prepare and organize eviction files and legal documentation
- Work closely with attorneys and legal teams on active cases
- Attend court appearances and hearings as needed
- Maintain accurate tenant records, payment history, notices, and legal correspondence
- Coordinate with leasing and property management staff regarding tenant account status
- Ensure compliance with Fair Housing laws and landlord-tenant regulations
- Handle tenant disputes and resolve issues professionally
- Monitor delinquency reports and assist in reducing outstanding balances
Qualifications
- Previous property management experience required
- Experience with rent collections and eviction processes preferred
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to manage conflict and difficult tenant situations professionally
- Experience with property management software such as Yardi, AppFolio, OneSite, or similar systems
- Ability to multitask and manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Court appearance or legal coordination experience is a plus
- Reliable transportation required
