Overview
Join our dynamic team as a Warehouse Assistant and become a vital part of our fast-paced distribution operation! In this energetic role, you will support the efficient movement, storage, and management of inventory within our warehouse facility. Your proactive approach will ensure smooth warehouse distribution, accurate inventory control, and seamless order fulfillment. Duties
- Assist with inventory management, including stock counting, replenishment etc.
- Operate heavy equipment such as forklifts, reach trucks, pallet jacks, and order pickers to load, unload, and transport materials safely within the warehouse
- Support shipping and receiving processes by preparing shipments, verifying orders and ensuring accurate order picking and packing
- Handle materials with care during stocking, order fulfillment, and packaging activities to meet quality standards
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace by adhering to OSHA safety regulations and mechanical safety protocols
- Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to coordinate warehouse distribution tasks and improve operational efficiency
- Assist in the warehouse / shop operation as needed
Requirements
- Proven experience in warehouse operations or distribution environments with familiarity in warehouse experience, inventory control, and materials handling
- Valid certification for forklift operation; experience with reach trucks, pallet jacks, and heavy equipment operation is highly desirable
- Mechanical knowledge related to heavy lifting equipment, packaging machinery, and construction tools is a plus
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently throughout the shift while maintaining attention to safety standards such as OSHA guidelines
- Strong organizational skills with experience in order picking & packing, shipping & receiving processes
- Excellent communication skills to work effectively within a team environment and coordinate tasks with supervisors
