The client is a patient-centered, team-based multi-specialty practice located in central Brooklyn. For over 40 years, the client has been providing affordable, comprehensive, outpatient medical and dental services in an outpatient setting. As a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC), the client serves all of the primary health care needs of families in the heart of North and Central Brooklyn. Our mission is to provide the most professional, courteous, and highest quality health care, with dignity, to those we serve, especially the underserved population, without regard for ability to pay.
We have an opportunity for a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to provide quality, competent, safe, and compassionate care based on established standards in a patient-focused preventative, treatment care, and counseling.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of the DSM-V, understanding of psychosis, OCD, and Substance Use Disorder Counseling.
- Recovery-oriented and trauma-informed care.
- Motivational Interviewing techniques, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Behavioral Activation.
Bilingual Spanish REQUIRED. Must be able to work onsite and every other Saturday.
Education/Experience Required
- LCSW REQUIRED
- Bilingual (English/Spanish)
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Sensitivity to cultural, religious, racial, disability, and gender issues.
Other Related Skills/Experience
- Experience/An understanding of eClinical Works is helpful.
- The ability to demonstrate teamwork and effective interpersonal relations skills is imperative.
- Excellent written/oral communication and computer skills are required.
- Ability to foster and maintain a positive working relationship in a multidisciplinary team and with clients.
Pay: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
