We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Receptionist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our clients and their pets, providing exceptional customer service while managing a variety of administrative tasks. This role requires a strong understanding of veterinary terminology and animal care, as well as the ability to handle multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
Duties
- Greet clients and their pets upon arrival, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere.
- Manage appointment scheduling and confirmations for veterinary services.
- Handle medical collection and billing inquiries efficiently.
- Maintain accurate patient records and ensure all information is up-to-date.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the reception area and clinic facilities.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth clinic operations.
While you must love animals, you must really love people - this is a client-facing position and you will be one of the bright and sunshiny faces at our front desk.
We are looking for someone who is nimble, able to multi-task, has excellent attention to detail, can work quickly and efficiently, and not be afraid to jump in to help wherever needed. We utilize a cloud-based practice management software and are paperless, so you should be computer-savvy and willing to learn new computer programs.
The veterinary CSR can be very rewarding position -- but it is also demanding. Sometimes clients are gruff, or upset, and it is very important that you can handle clients that are not always on their best behavior. Staying calm and collected, and having a sense of humor is essential to our line of work!
