A precision manufacturing team is seeking a 1st Shift Precision Production Set-Up Operator (Mills & Lathes) to support on-site machining operations. This is a temp-to-perm opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on work in a high-accuracy environment and wants to grow their skills alongside an experienced production team.
- Set up and run mills and lathes based on work orders, schedules, and shop instructions.
- Load/unload parts and handle materials while following established quality and manufacturing standards.
- Complete finishing tasks such as cleaning, deburring, and packaging per job requirements.
- Track piece counts, perform in-process checks, and keep production paperwork/logs up to date.
- Assist with routine machine care (or flag maintenance needs) and maintain a clean, safe workspace.
- Setup experience on mills/lathes is preferred (entry-level may be considered depending on shift needs).
- Dependable, safety-minded, and able to work with minimal supervision.
- Comfortable with basic computer use for documentation/reporting.
- Able to stand for long periods, perform repetitive tasks, and lift up to 40 lbs.
- Vision and hearing requirements: able to work safely with shop conditions; moderate hearing loss and color vision limitations may be acceptable.
