Job Summary:
Register, assign rooms and check out property guests in a prompt and courteous manner. Provide varied and routine information to guests in a courteous tactful manner. Audit all accounts to ensure the accounts are balanced. Closeout various accounts and transfers, when necessary. Prepare and transmit Night Audit Reports.
Essential Functions:
1. Verify the bank at the beginning and at the end of each shift.
2. Generate current house status and pre-registration report.
3. Process all guest check-in to include but not limited to the verification of guest history information, establish credit and assign rooms according to standard operating procedures. Ensure that no guests exceed the house limit and report all violations to the Front Desk Supervisor.
4. Process all guest check-out to include but not limited to the finalization of the folio, collection of payment and obtaining guest room keys.
5. Record detail information and resolve guest complaints. Record significant shift information into the Front Desk Log.
6. Answer and direct all calls through the switchboard in courteous, professional and in a timely manner. Ensure that all wake-up calls are performed at the designated time.
7. Perform all night audit functions to include the credit card updates, advance deposits, tax-exempt logs, etc. Prepare and transmit night audit reports accurately and according to standard operating procedures to the corporate office.
8. Maintain cleanliness of immediate work area, compliance with company policies, practices, procedures, and safety standards.
