Duties Description The Office of Probation and Correctional Alternatives (OPCA) is seeking a student assistant to support the day-to-day operations in the Adult Probation Operations unit. The handling of these tasks will help the student gain professional skills while assisting OPCA with special projects.
The student assistant in the Adult Probation Operations unit in OPCA will assist with duties including, but not limited to:
- Research relevant to current projects being conducted by the Adult Probation Operations Unit.
- Review data submitted by probation departments/ignition interlock monitors.
- Extract data from surveys, applications and forms submitted by probation departments regarding adult probation operation matters.
- Review daily intelligence bulletins produced by the center and assist in creating digital display slides used to share information with law enforcement partners.
Minimum Qualifications Must be a current student enrolled in a matriculating degree program and have completed a minimum of one (1) year as a student at a degree-granting two or four-year college or university.
Preferred Qualifications: The preferred candidate(s) would possess: Strong written & verbal communication skills; Microsoft Office Suite; Data Analysis and research; Public speaking.
