Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dental practice on either a part-time or full-time basis. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to patient care, clinical excellence, and infection prevention. As a Dental Assistant, you will support dentists during procedures, manage patient records, and ensure the smooth operation of daily clinical activities. Duties
- Assist dentists during various procedures, including general dentistry, oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry.
- Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing and organizing dental instruments and equipment in accordance with infection control protocols.
- Take and develop dental X-ray images while adhering to radiation safety standards and maintaining clinical confidentiality policies.
- Monitor vital signs and medical history documentation to support comprehensive patient care.
- Educate patients on oral health practices, post-treatment care, and preventive measures to promote optimal dental health.
- Maintain dental equipment including 3D scanners, dental sterilization procedures, and other clinical tools to ensure proper functioning.
- Support patient management by scheduling appointments, confirming upcoming visits, and managing patient flow efficiently.
- Follow strict infection prevention management practices using aseptic techniques and healthcare infection control expertise.
- Collaborate with team members in four-handed dentistry procedures to enhance efficiency and patient comfort.
Experience
- Previous experience working in a dental clinic setting with proficiency in dental assisting duties is essential.
- Knowledge of dental terminology, medical terminology, and anatomy relevant to dentistry is required.
- Experience with pediatric dentistry, oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, or general dentistry is preferred.
- Demonstrated understanding of dental sterilization procedures and infection control standards is necessary.
- Ability to operate dental equipment including X-ray machines, 3D scanners, and other clinical tools confidently.
- Strong organizational skills with the capacity to manage medical records and documentation accurately while maintaining confidentiality.
