Position Summary
The Daytime Dishwasher is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of all kitchen equipment, dishes, utensils, cookware, and food preparation areas. This position plays a vital role in supporting the culinary and food service teams by ensuring a continuous supply of clean equipment and maintaining a safe and sanitary kitchen environment. The Daytime Dishwasher is expected to uphold the high standards of cleanliness, professionalism, and operational excellence that reflect the traditions and reputation of Edgeworth Club.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Dishwashing Operations
- Wash, sanitize, and properly store dishes, glassware, silverware, cookware, and kitchen utensils.
- Operate dishwashing equipment safely and efficiently according to established procedures.
- Ensure all items meet cleanliness and sanitation standards before being returned to service.
- Maintain an adequate supply of clean dishes and service ware for daily club operations.
- Sort, scrape, rinse, and load dishware into dishwashing machines.
- Hand wash delicate or oversized items as needed.
- Monitor dishwashing chemicals and notify supervisors when replenishment is required.
Kitchen Support
- Assist with delivery storage and stocking of supplies on a daily basis.
- Assist kitchen personnel with basic cleaning and organizational tasks.
- Remove trash, recyclables, and food waste from kitchen and service areas.
- Maintain cleanliness of sinks, dish stations, floors, walls, and work areas.
- Transport clean dishes, cookware, and supplies to designated storage areas.
- Support culinary operations during peak meal periods as directed.
- Participate in prepwork occasionally as needed.
Cleaning and Sanitation
- Follow all sanitation procedures established by the Club and local health authorities.
- Sweep, mop, and maintain kitchen floors throughout assigned shifts.
- Clean and sanitize food preparation and storage areas as assigned.
- Maintain cleaning logs and sanitation schedules when required.
- Ensure all work areas remain organized, safe, and free of hazards.
- Properly handle and store cleaning chemicals in accordance with safety guidelines.
Teamwork and Service
- Work cooperatively with chefs, cooks, servers, and other staff members.
- Respond promptly to requests from kitchen and dining room personnel.
- Demonstrate a positive attitude and strong work ethic.
- Contribute to maintaining a professional and respectful workplace environment.
- Represent the Club professionally at all times.
Safety and Compliance
- Maintain compliance with club policies, health regulations, sanitation standards, and safety procedures.
- Properly use personal protective equipment when required.
- Report equipment malfunctions, maintenance concerns, or safety hazards immediately.
- Follow proper procedures for handling hot items, sharp objects, and cleaning chemicals.
- Adhere to emergency and accident reporting procedures.
Qualifications
Education and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous dishwashing, kitchen, restaurant, hospitality, or food service experience preferred but not
- required.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated commitment to cleanliness, reliability, and teamwork.

Compensation & Benefits
Hourly: $16-$17.50 (based on experience)
Full-Time (34-36 hours per week)
Full Time employees will be eligible for Benefits after 90 days, Health Insurance, Vision, Dental, HSA, IRA matching 3% after one year of employment, Daily Meal Provided
Pay: $16.00 - $17.50 per hour
