Overview
We are seeking a skilled MIG Welder to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in welding and fabrication, with experience in various welding techniques and the ability to read blueprints and schematics. This position requires a commitment to quality and safety on the job site, ensuring that all work meets industry standards.
Duties
- Perform MIG welding on various materials, including sheet metal and ductwork, ensuring high-quality welds that meet specifications.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment to fabricate components according to blueprints and schematics.
- Conduct inspections of welds using calipers and micrometers to ensure precision and adherence to ASME codes & standards.
- Collaborate with team members on construction projects, providing support in rigging, assembly, and installation tasks as needed.
- Operate forklifts and cranes safely to transport materials within the work area.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
- Assist in troubleshooting issues related to welding equipment and processes.
Experience
- Proven experience in MIG welding; additional skills in TIG welding, stick welding, or FCAW are a plus.
- Familiarity with manufactirng site operations and safety practices.
- Proficient in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
- Experience with fabrication processes and mechanical knowledge is essential.
- Knowledge of machining processes, pipe threading, plasma cutting, press brake machine operation, and soldering is beneficial.
