Air Electro, Inc. is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Quality Lead to join our team. This role is critical in ensuring the delivery of high-quality custom connector products in a fast-paced aerospace manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will lead inspection activities, drive process compliance, and collaborate cross-functionally with Engineering, Production, and Sales to support customer requirements and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee incoming, in-process, and final inspections to verify compliance with engineering drawings, specifications, and purchase order requirements.
- Coordinate with Engineering, Production, and Supply Chain to resolve quality issues, nonconformances, and supplier-related concerns.
- Work with the Quality managerto define inspection scope, objectives, and acceptance criteria in line with AS9100
- Work with suppliers to align inspection requirements, resolve non-conformances, and improve incoming material quality
- Lead non-conforming or suspect materials, segregate defective inventory, and Non-Conformance Reports (NCR)
- Promote a culture of accountability,quality ownership, and continuous improvement within the inspection team.
- Review and approve inspection reports, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with procedural guidelines
- Liaise with other departments, suppliers, and customers to address quality issues and ensure standards are met
Qualifications
- Minimum 5–10 years of experience in a Quality Inspection or Quality Assurance role, preferably within the aerospace industry.
- Fluent in AS9102B First Article Reports required. Is a plus
- Strong knowledge of AS9100 quality standards and aerospace inspection requirements.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, specifications, and inspection criteria.
- Experience with inspection equipment, including CMMs, optical comparators, and other measurement tools.
- Demonstrated leadership experience, including training, mentoring, and managing inspection personnel
- Strong problem-solving skills with experience in root cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Excellent communication and cross-functional coordination skills.
- Experience using Microsoft BC.
- Must have advanced knowledge of MS Word and Excel.

- Start time: 7:30 AM
- End time: 4:00 PM
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour
