Power Equipment Plus is seeking a Small Engine Mechanic for our East Meadow location to help support our dynamic, growing workplace. This is a full-time opportunity responsible for preventative maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs. The right candidate will have a strong mechanical background, “can-do” attitude, and be a proven team player. The Small Engine Mechanic's Specific duties include:
- Diagnosing and performing all preventative and diagnostic maintenance work on customer and rental equipment including: mowers, an assortment of small engine equipment, some heavy equipment (skid steers, excavators, etc.)
- Completing maintenance work as assigned
- Responsible for completion of necessary paperwork
- Interacting with customers from time to time
Work Conditions:
- Applicants must be willing and able to work indoors and outdoors in all elements
- Applicants must be able to tolerate physical effort including the handling of objects (up to 50 pounds)
- Able to safely work with a wide variety of equipment
- Ability to operate heavy equipment a plus

Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience with small engines. Willing to train the right candidate.
- Basic computer skills required
- Must be able to multitask and prioritize
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour
