Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival, providing attentive and personalized service throughout their visit
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring all special requests are noted
- Serve food and drinks promptly, including cocktails, wine, spirits, and non-alcoholic beverages, demonstrating knowledge of beverage service standards
- Upsell menu items and specials to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities
- Process cash and card transactions efficiently while maintaining accuracy in sales transactions processing
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards by bussing tables, resetting dining areas, and adhering to food safety guidelines
- Assist with food handling, basic food preparation, and kitchen support as needed to ensure smooth operations
- Provide excellent guest relations by addressing questions or concerns promptly and professionally
- Support opening or closing duties such as setting up stations or cleaning work areas to uphold sanitation standards
Skills
- Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments with a focus on guest satisfaction
- Strong knowledge of POS systems including Aloha POS, Micros POS, and OpenTable for reservations management
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage guests warmly and professionally
- Demonstrated ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced setting while multitasking seamlessly
- Knowledge of wine, spirits, cocktail preparation, and beverage service techniques
- Familiarity with food safety protocols, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
- Ability to upsell menu items confidently while maintaining genuine guest interactions
- Basic math skills for processing payments accurately and managing bills efficiently
- Experience with fine dining standards or high-volume restaurants is preferred but not required
- A positive attitude with strong teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with kitchen staff and fellow servers
