CNC Lathe Machinist / Setup Programmer
Tridecs Corporation is seeking an experienced CNC Lathe Machinist / Setup Programmer to join our precision machining team in Hayward, CA. We are looking for a highly skilled, self-motivated machinist with strong setup, programming, and job-planning capabilities, particularly in precision turning applications.
This position focuses primarily on CNC lathes machining a wide variety of materials and precision components, generally under 12” diameter, ranging from prototype quantities to full production runs.
Responsibilities:
- Complete setup and operation of CNC lathes
- Program and edit CNC programs using Mastercam and at-the-control programming
- Select tooling, workholding, machining strategy, and inspection approach
- Machine precision components to tight tolerances and demanding quality standards
- Work with a wide range of materials including aluminum, stainless steel, titanium, plastics, and exotic alloys
- Perform first article and in-process inspections (supported by Tridecs' Quality Department)
- Optimize cycle times, tool life, and process reliability
- Independently manage jobs from planning through production
Preferred Experience:
- Strong CNC lathe setup and programming experience
- Familiarity with Fanuc controls preferred
- Experience with Mastercam programming
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and GD&T
- Experience with prototype and production machining environments
- Strong understanding of feeds, speeds, tooling, and precision inspection methods

Secondary:
- CNC Vertical Mills (YCM, HURCO, Fadal)
- CNC Horizontal Mills (Makino)
Schedule:
Day shift position
Start time between 6:00 AM – 7:00 AM
End time between 2:30 PM – 3:30 PM

Pay: $30.00 - $50.00 per hour
