Accounting Manager | Hybrid – Philadelphia, PA

A large nonprofit organization in the Philadelphia area is seeking an Accounting Manager to join its finance team. This role supports a complex, multi-entity environment with a strong focus on accounting operations, reporting, and internal controls.
This is a strong fit for a Senior Accountant or early Accounting Manager looking to step into a broader role within a stable, mission-focused organization.
Schedule
- Hybrid: 3 days onsite / 2 remote
Responsibilities
- Support month-end close, journal entries, and reconciliations
- Assist with billing, cash activity, and AR tracking
- Maintain general ledger accuracy across multiple programs
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and audit preparation
- Monitor intercompany balances and resolve discrepancies
- Review coding and ensure proper expense allocation
- Prepare audit and reporting schedules
- Assist with collections and AR aging oversight
- Supervise junior accounting staff as needed
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required
- 5+ years of accounting experience
- Strong general ledger and month-end close experience
- Supervisory experience preferred
- Strong Excel and accounting system skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders
Pay: $82,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
