Duties
- Lead and coordinate daily lawn care and landscape maintenance activities, including mowing, trimming, edging, and pruning.
- Supervise a team of crew members, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure safety protocols and quality standards are met.
- Oversee the installation and maintenance of irrigation systems, ensuring efficient water use and system functionality.
- Perform or assign tasks related to tree care, gardening, horticulture practices, and construction projects on-site.
- Conduct routine inspections of work sites to ensure adherence to safety regulations and project specifications.
- Manage equipment maintenance schedules and ensure all tools and machinery are in optimal working condition.
- Communicate effectively with clients to understand their landscape needs and provide professional recommendations for ongoing care.
Skills
- Need to be able to drive while pulling a trailer
- Be able to back up a trailer
- Experience in using commercial lawn care equipment (Walker mowers, stand on mowers, high grade trimmers)
- Proven experience in landscape maintenance, landscaping, lawn care, or horticulture.
- Supervising or leadership experience within outdoor maintenance or construction teams.
- Strong knowledge of irrigation systems, tree care techniques, gardening practices, and general landscape construction.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to motivate and lead a team while maintaining high safety standards.
- Good communication skills to coordinate with clients and team members effectively.
- Physical stamina to perform outdoor work in various weather conditions; ability to operate landscaping equipment safely.
