Postpartum / Well-Baby Visiting Nurse (RN)

About the Role
Prestige Home Care Agency is seeking a compassionate Postpartum / Well-Baby Visiting Nurse to provide in-home care to new mothers and their newborns. This is a field-based, visiting nurse position — you'll travel to families in their homes to deliver mom-and-baby ("well-baby") postpartum care across Philadelphia County and the surrounding counties (Montgomery, Chester, Bucks, and Delaware). You'll support families during one of the most important transitions of their lives, assessing both mother and baby, answering questions, and helping ensure a healthy, confident start at home.
Responsibilities
- Conduct in-home postpartum visits to assess the health and recovery of new mothers, including vital signs, healing, and emotional well-being.
- Perform newborn ("well-baby") assessments, including weight checks, feeding evaluation, jaundice screening, and overall wellness.
- Provide education and hands-on support for breastfeeding/feeding, infant care, safe sleep, and newborn safety.
- Screen for postpartum depression and other maternal health concerns; provide referrals and resources as needed.
- Educate and reassure parents on newborn care, warning signs, and when to seek further medical attention.
- Coordinate with OB/GYN providers, pediatricians, and the care team; document visits accurately and on time.
- Travel reliably to family homes throughout the assigned service area.
Qualifications
- Active, Registered Nurse (RN) license in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
- Current CPR/BLS certification.
- Experience in maternal/child health, postpartum, NICU, labor & delivery, mother/baby, or pediatric nursing preferred.
- Lactation support experience (CLC or IBCLC) a plus.
- Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and current auto insurance (required for field travel).
- Warm, patient-centered communication style and the ability to work independently.

Pay: $50.00 per hour
