Our client, a leading manufacturing organization, is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join their team. As a Maintenance Technician, you will be part of the Maintenance Department supporting production and maintenance teams. The ideal candidate will demonstrate problem-solving skills, reliability, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Maintenance Technician
Location: Deland, FL
Pay Range: $26-30/hour
Shift: Tues-Sat 6pm-2:30am
What's the Job?
- Perform maintenance and repairs (planned, unplanned, emergency) on production, processing, and packaging equipment, as well as utility systems, following all safety procedures
- Conduct preventative maintenance and routine inspections to assess equipment reliability and performance
- Read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures, electrical schematics, service manuals, and work orders to perform maintenance tasks
- Support the installation of new equipment and assist operators with troubleshooting to minimize downtime
- Document all work performed accurately and maintain communication with other departments regarding equipment status and issues
What's Needed?
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Trade school or technical training in electrical, mechanical, or related fields preferred
- 2 to 4 years of experience in maintenance, mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, or electronic systems, preferably in manufacturing
- Experience with various equipment including motor control, process control, and packaging machinery
- Ability to read technical drawings, schematics, and manuals, and use maintenance tools safely and effectively
