We are hiring a Fitness Coordinator who doesn’t just lead classes, they create momentum and vibrancy.
You will be one of the most visible, energizing, and influential people in the building, because every day, you’ll:
- get residents moving
- build confidence
- create connection
- shift what our residents believe is possible for themselves
This is part fitness professional, part coach, part community builder.
What You’ll Build:
1. A Culture of Movement
- Lead 30+ weekly MBS classes across Assisted Living & Memory Care
- Create an environment where movement is expected, accessible, and engaging
- Make participation feel natural and inevitable
2. Visible Energy in the Community
- Bring life and momentum into shared spaces
- Set the tone for what vitality looks like at Avanti
- Contribute to the “first 10-minute experience” every visitor feels
3. Resident Confidence & Independence
- Help residents build strength, balance, and mobility
- Reinforce independence in daily living
- Celebrate progress, big and small
4. Connection Through Coaching
- Build relationships with residents that go beyond class
- Encourage, challenge, and support individuals at all ability levels
- Be a consistent, positive presence in their day
5. A High-Standard, Exceptionally Well-Run Program
- Own the MBS class schedule for your community
- Maintain organization, consistency, and follow-through
- Partner across departments to integrate wellness into the full experience
What You Bring: This role is less about certifications, and more about presence, energy, and mindset.
You might be a fit if you are: Naturally energetic and engaging - people feel your presence - a coach at heart - you know how to motivate and encourage - comfortable leading groups and being highly visible, organized and accountable - you follow through - empathetic, patient, and people-centered, and passionate about helping others feel stronger and more confident
Experience:
- Background in fitness, coaching, teaching, or movement-based work preferred
- Group facilitation or teaching experience is a strong plus
- Experience working with older adults is helpful, but not required
We will train you in the MBS methodology… what matters most is how you show up.
