The Shipping Leader will actively participate in the warehouse/shipping team and offer guidance, instructions, and direction to fellow team members. They will oversee the activities of associates involved in verifying and maintaining records of incoming and outgoing shipments, as well as preparing items for shipment. Additionally, they will manage warehouse tasks including verifying incoming and outgoing shipments.
Work in accordance with safety rules and actively support safety team
Maintain excellent standards for housekeeping
Initiate, submit, and track work orders for required maintenance and repairs
Direct and assign workloads, ensuring a smooth and efficient flow of labor versus productivity
Conduct timely reviews of pick lists assuring FIFO requirements are incorporated and met
Schedule appointments with truck load carriers
Generate pick lists and CO's according to date, print them, and assist in the picking, scanning, and shipping processes
Create box labels, BOL, packing slips, and stickers as required for each item
Maintain organized order paperwork for efficient processing
Monitor and follow up on open orders to ensure on-time shipping results
Review orders against shipping or customer order requirements
Check receipts against PO/RA for proper shipment, shortages, damages or defects
Support and assist in parcel shipping/processing of all necessary paperwork
Receive incoming materials (packaging, resins, and finished/brokered goods)
Coordinate, initiate, participate in, and report physical inventory counts
Review inventory reports and reconcile report to actual counts
Perform reconciliation of conveyors
Participate fully in meetings, training sessions, skill building and professional development classes
Perform additional duties as assigned by management
