Speech Language Pathologist-Pediatric
TherapyWorks 4 Kids, LLC is looking to hire a fun and upbeat Speech-Language Therapist to join our dynamic team. We are located in Fort Mill, SC close to Indian Land & Rock Hill, SC and Charlotte, NC. Job Summary
Pediatric Speech Therapist will evaluate and treat children ages 0-18 years with a variety of conditions/diagnoses including, but not limited to: speech/language deficits in children with neuromuscular conditions, cerebral palsy, TBI, Down Syndrome, autism/Asperger, stroke, developmental delay, chromosomal abnormality, hearing loss, learning disability. Effective communication and documentation are essential to this position. The speech therapist will participate as a member of the interdisciplinary team.
Essential Functions
- Evaluate and treat pediatric clients (age 0-18 years) effectively with a variety of conditions/diagnoses
- Demonstrate competency in all duties related to a speech therapist
- Participate in staff meetings and educational activities
- Collaborate with other therapists and families in order to provide best care of client
- Clear and concise therapy documentation of evaluations, daily notes, treatment plans, and discharge summaries in a timely manner that comply with the company’s standards.
- Maintain strictest confidentiality, adheres to all HIPPA regulations
- Will strive for excellence in achieving our client’s and company’s goals
- Maintain files online or in charts per set guidelines
- Other responsibilities may be added at the company’s discretion
Job Requirements and Qualifications
Education: Master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited institution
- Current Speech Language Pathology License as per S.C. Department of LLR
- Current CPR certificate
- Valid driver’s license
- All immunizations up to date (childhood)
- Current with CEU requirements per S.C. Department of LLR
- Pediatric speech therapy experience is a benefit but not required. If no pediatric experience, must be willing to participate in learning experiences.
- Must be well organized and detail-oriented
- Dress in professional manner
- Flexible in work habits and work schedule
- Position requires a professional demeanor
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds. Must be able to transfer client over 50 pounds with help of another individual.
- Must maintain continuing education as per state licensure regulations.
- Must be a team player. Collaboration with other therapists, families, and physicians is key to a child’s success.
- Must submit to a background check.
- Other duties may be added or changed as needed for position.
