IT in Demand is hiring an experienced IT Support Technician to join our growing Managed IT Services team. We are looking for someone who is technically skilled, dependable, and enjoys helping people solve technology problems.
In this role, you will provide remote and on-site technical support to our business clients throughout Long Island. The ideal candidate has excellent troubleshooting skills, strong customer service experience, and can work independently while collaborating with the rest of our team.
Candidate MUST LIVE ON LONG ISLAND (Nassau County preferred) and be able to travel to client locations throughout Nassau and Suffolk County several times per week. A valid driver's license and reliable transportation are required.
What You Will Do:
- Respond to support requests by phone, email, and ticketing system
- Troubleshoot Windows PCs, Microsoft 365, printers, email, networking, and business applications
- Provide remote and on-site technical support for our clients
- Install, configure, and deploy desktops, laptops, printers, and other hardware
- Create, update, and document support tickets accurately
- Manage user accounts, password resets, and basic Microsoft 365 and Active Directory administration
- Diagnose hardware, software, and network connectivity issues
- Escalate complex issues to senior engineers when appropriate
- Deliver friendly, professional customer service while maintaining clear communication with clients
What We're Looking For:
- Minimum of 2 years of IT support experience (MSP experience is a plus)
- Strong knowledge of Windows 10/11 and Microsoft 365
- Basic understanding of Active Directory, networking, VPNs, and business IT environments
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Comfortable speaking with customers over the phone and in person
- Organized, dependable, punctual, and detail-oriented
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Willingness to learn new technologies and grow with the company
- CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft certifications are a plus, but not required
