Position Overview
As a Pasteurizer & Bottling Specialist, you are at the core of our quality, safety, and production operations. You will be responsible for batching ice cream mixes, pasteurizing dairy products through our processing system, and operating milk bottling equipment. This is a hands-on, highly physical role for someone who possesses a strong work ethic and mechanical aptitude. No previous dairy experience or license is required—we will fully train the right person!
Key Responsibilities
- Pasteurization & Mix Batching: Learn to measure, blend, and pasteurize fluid milk products and ice cream mixes according to specific recipes and regulatory standards.
- Milk Bottling Operations: Set up, monitor, and operate liquid bottle filling equipment to ensure accurate fill volumes and secure seals.
- Equipment & Process Monitoring: Learn to run and monitor the plant’s pasteurizer and homogenizer, maintaining accurate time, pressure, and temperature records throughout every run.
- Sanitation & Hygiene (CIP/COP): Perform thorough Clean-in-Place (CIP) and manual Clean-out-of-Place (COP) cleaning cycles on the pasteurizer, homogenizer, storage vats, bottle filler, and transfer lines.
- Quality Control & Regulatory Compliance: Keep accurate pasteurization recording charts, sanitation logs, and production records compliant with food safety regulations.
- General Maintenance: Assist with basic mechanical maintenance, seal/gasket changes, and routine troubleshooting on processing equipment.
- Seasonal Schedule: Work overtime or extended hours during busy peak production seasons.
Key Qualifications
- No Prior Dairy Experience Necessary: We will train the right candidate from the ground up!
- Mechanical Aptitude: A natural comfort working with machinery, tools, pumps, and mechanical systems is a huge plus.
- Strong Work Ethic & Motivation: Dependable, detail-oriented, and driven with a strong sense of urgency in a fast-paced environment.
- Commitment to Quality & Safety: High standards for cleanliness and eagerness to learn food manufacturing safety protocols (GMPs).
- Physical Demands: Ability to stand for extended periods, move heavy hoses/crates, and regularly lift up to 50 lbs.
- Early Shift 4:30-5:00 AM start time
Pay: $27.00 - $30.00 per hour
