Job Overview We are seeking a dependable, physically active Delivery and Installation Specialist to join our fruit tree nursery team. In this role, you will be the face of our business at the customers home. You will be driving company vehicles to deliver high-quality plants and installing them directly at our customers' properties. This position requires strong physical stamina for heavy lifting and hand-tool work. Top-tier communication skills to provide exceptional customer service on-site is a must. Key Responsibilities
- Transport & Logistics: Safely operate company delivery vehicles to transport fruit trees, plants, and equipment to residential and commercial job sites.
- On-Site Installation: Utilize company tools (shovels, soil amendments, mulch, fertilizer) to properly dig, plant, and secure trees according to nursery standards.
- Customer Engagement: Serve as the delivery point of contact during deliveries, clearly communicating installation details, answering basic plant care questions, and ensuring complete customer satisfaction.
- Site Preparation & Cleanup: Assesses soil and planting areas upon arrival, protect customer property during work, and ensure the job site is completely clean before departure.
- Vehicle & Tool Care: Inspect company vehicles before trips, secure loads properly, and maintain all assigned tools and equipment in good working order.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Physical Capability: Ability to consistently lift, carry, and maneuver 50+ lbs (balled/burlapped trees, potted plants, bags of soil) in outdoor weather conditions.
- Driving Record: Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and comfort operating large pickup trucks or vans.
- Communication Skills: Professional, friendly, and articulate demeanor when interacting with clients and collaborating with the nursery team.
- Hands-On Aptitude: Experience or comfort using manual landscaping tools (shovels, rakes, picks) and performing physical outdoor labor.
- Reliability & Detail: Strong time-management skills, punctuality, and careful attention to plant health and customer property.
- Landscaping, horticulture, or nursery experience is a plus, but not required.
Pay: $14.00 - $17.00 per hour
