Eastside Christian School is a private Christian school dedicated to "Academic Excellence, Commitment to Christ." Located in the Eastgate area of Bellevue, ECS serves over 300 Preschool through 8th grade students.
Seeking:
A passionate, dedicated K-8 grade school substitute teacher who is a strong follower of Jesus Christ, and who wants to work in a very supportive and loving small-school community in Bellevue, Washington.
Essential Functions of This Position
- Model Christ in all
- Prayerfully equip students to learn subject matter, skills, and attitudes that will contribute to their development as mature, able, responsible Christian men and women. As part of their calling, Christian teachers and staff members will train students to think, enabling them to defend their faith in the face of ever increasing challenges from our society.
- Minister and evangelize as appropriate to students, families, staff and administration
- Maintain classroom goals and objectives in conformance with courses of study as directed by school administration
- Present an instructional program designed to meet the individual needs of students.
- Follow lesson plans
- Foster an educational environment conducive to the spiritual and academic growth of assigned students
- Implement established program or curriculum objectives
- Use appropriate and effective instructional methods and materials which are suited to the spiritual and academic growth of students
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in education or a related field
- Valid/Current WA State Teaching Certificate (other states considered)
- Valid/Current First Aid and CPR Certification by the time school starts
