We are seeking a dependable, compassionate, and patient caregiver to provide quality care and support to residents in our Adult Family Home. The ideal candidate should be comfortable working independently, attentive to residents' needs, and able to remain calm and confident during emergency situations.
Caregiver Responsibilities
- Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, mobility, and other personal care needs.
- Provide medication assistance according to each resident's care plan and facility policies, within the caregiver's training and credentials.
- Prepare simple, nutritious meals and snacks and assist residents during meals when needed.
- Perform light housekeeping, including dishes, laundry, wiping down surfaces, sweeping, changing linens, and keeping resident and common areas clean and organized.
- Observe residents for changes in their physical, emotional, or behavioral condition and promptly report concerns to the appropriate person.
- Follow each resident's care plan and individual needs and preferences.
- Provide companionship and encourage residents to participate in appropriate activities and social interaction.
- Maintain residents' privacy, dignity, safety, and independence at all times.
- Be patient, respectful, compassionate, and understanding, including when caring for residents who may require additional reassurance or redirection.
- Be confident in handling emergency situations without panicking, follow emergency procedures, call for appropriate assistance, and ensure residents remain as safe and calm as possible.
- Complete required documentation accurately and communicate important information to management and other caregivers.
- Maintain a safe, clean, comfortable, and welcoming home environment.
- Follow all Adult Family Home policies, procedures, training requirements, and applicable Washington State regulations.

We are looking for someone who is reliable, trustworthy, patient, caring, responsible, and able to take initiative. Caregivers must be comfortable working with elderly and vulnerable adults and understand that every resident deserves to be treated with kindness, dignity, patience, and respect.
Pay: $19.00 - $22.00 per hour
