Chicago creators — got 10K+ followers and the skills to build, film, and go viral in a single day?
META24 is hiring 20 content creators to compete in Makers University — a one-day creator showdown where you and a team build a real brand business from scratch, stream it live, and compete for cash and prizes inside the largest collective makerspace in the country, right here in Melrose Park.
How you earn (performance + influence): Your pay scales with your impact. The more people you reach and the more interest you generate, the more you make — $250 to $1,000 for the day. Base performance plus the reach you drive. Great content that pulls real eyes = real money.
What you'll do in one day:
- Team up and build a brand business from the ground up using our labs and METTIE.AI — the platform that teaches you to run every part of a business: branding, software, AI tools, content, and sales
- Create and stream live all day (tag us, of course)
- Compete for points that crown the winner
- Keep the content you create
The space (Melrose Park makerspace): Full TikTok streaming lab, plus graphic design, esports, fashion & sewing, 3D printing, video & music, personal care, and fitness labs — one integrated system to stream, make, and create.
What you'll earn:
- $250–$1,000 for the day, scaled by performance and reach
- Prizes: lab materials, creative studio time, lab access
- The bigger opportunity: top creators get hired to host future events in our spaces on nights and weekends
Requirements:
- 10,000+ followers in a creative space (any platform)
- Can create and stream engaging content on the spot
- Team-friendly, competitive, camera-ready
- Available for a July–September date in Melrose Park, IL
Who we are — and why it matters: META24 runs schools and programs for youth who'd never otherwise access a space like this — special-needs programs, youth-incarceration facilities, the unhoused, and schools serving students of poverty. We're the largest collective makerspace in the country, and proceeds from these events directly fund our youth work nationwide. You build your brand and open these labs to kids who need them.
Our vision: eventually host experiences like this daily — for kids, parents, retirees, everyone — so people of all ages and abilities can stretch their minds and keep up with a fast-changing world.
